Privacy Policy

We try to collect as little as possible, and we tell you what we do collect. This policy explains how Bedlam Apps (“we”, “us”) handles information on bedlamapps.com and in the mobile apps and games we publish. Some of our products (such as BiteLock) also have their own policies covering details specific to them.

§ 01What we collect on this website

This website is a simple marketing page. We do not require accounts and we do not run forms. The information we may collect is limited to:

• Analytics data: anonymised information about your visit (pages viewed, approximate location, device, browser, referrer).
• Emails you send us: if you email us, we'll have the contents of your email and your email address.
• Technical logs: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept briefly for security and debugging.

§ 02What our apps collect

Our mobile apps and games do not require accounts, and we do not collect your name, email, or contact details. Depending on the app, the following data may be processed:

• Advertising data: some of our apps show ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address, coarse location, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. See Google's privacy policy.
• Purchase data: if an app offers in-app purchases, transactions are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We may process purchase history through RevenueCat to unlock content you bought and to restore purchases. We never see your payment details.
• Game progress and settings: stored locally on your device only. We do not upload it to our servers. Deleting the app deletes this data.

§ 03Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Firebase Hosting, provided by Google, to understand how the site is used and to keep it online. These services may set cookies or similar identifiers on your device. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by using a privacy-respecting browser or extension that blocks analytics.

§ 04How we use information

• To understand which pages are useful and fix things that aren't.
• To reply when you email us.
• To keep the site available, secure, and reasonably fast.
• To show and measure the ads that fund our free apps.
• To deliver and restore in-app purchases.
• To save your progress and preferences on your device.

§ 05Tracking

We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your data. We do not run behavioural advertising on this website.

§ 06Third parties we rely on

• Google Firebase Hosting: serves this site.
• Google Analytics: measures traffic.
• Google Fonts: serves the typefaces used here.
• Google AdMob: serves ads in some of our apps.
• Apple App Store and Google Play: process in-app purchases.
• RevenueCat: manages purchases and restores.

These providers operate under their own privacy policies.

§ 07Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google's default GA4 retention settings. Emails you send us are kept for as long as they are useful for the conversation, and deleted on request. Server logs are rotated regularly.

§ 08Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, submit a request via our contact form or email support@bedlamapps.com. We'll respond within a reasonable period. Note that app progress is stored only on your device, so deleting the app deletes it.

You can also limit ad personalisation in your device settings (on iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and Apple Advertising; on Android: Settings › Google › Ads).

§ 09Children

This website and our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

§ 10Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for a short period.
